March PT Client Highlight - Trisha

1.) ATF: What was your motivation to begin personal training with Krisha?

T: I started personal training because my husband's work had a fancy holiday party. I just went to try on some fancy dresses, and they didn't fit at all! That was the final straw for me. I knew Krisha, and called her for advice. Next thing you know, I was in personal training! 

 

2.) ATF: What was your first training session like?

T: I was nervous. I had no idea what to expect. I just knew everything was about to change, and I had no idea how. I don't remember everything about my first visit, but I do know we went over what to eat, how much, and how often. I didn't used to eat horribly, but I was eating all wrong, and skipping meals. It was eye opening. 

 

3.) ATF: Do you remember how sore you were the first week? Or was it not too bad?

T: I was SORE! It was hard to go up and down our stairs, sit to go to the bathroom, let alone get up! Haha! I had to remind myself, it was a good thing! This meant things were changing, in a good way. I am not ever that sore anymore, I can move! 

 

4.) ATF: How man-days per week do you train? How many days per week do you workout in between?

T: I train 2 days a week with Krisha, then work out 4 days a week on my own. I have one day off. I train hard with Krisha with weights, and one day on my own. The other days are cardio. 

 

5.) ATF: Which classes do you take at ASPIRE? What does your typical weekly workout regimen look like?

T: Two training days at ASPIRE, then the rest on my own. I have taken BODYPUMP there before, and would look at going back to that if in the future, I cut back a day with personal training.

 

6.) ATF: How has your nutrition mindset changed? What kind of nutrition program has Krisha recommended for you? How has your food impacted your fitness goals?

T: Nutrition is huge! Making sure I eat protein first thing in the morning is a big deal. I never did before. I eat lots of protein and veggies. Some complex carbs before workouts and after. It has been so helpful to have her to answer questions. I don't feel like I am doing it all on my own!

7.) ATF: What has been the most rewarding part of your success?

T: I am 41 and I had kids, so I understand how over time, life gets busy and slowly the weight comes on. It is tough to start personal training, but SO worth it. I absolutely love my trainer! I would and have recommended Krisha as well as ASPIRE to others. My husband saw such a difference, and came along with me on this journey. It helps to have him with me. Our oldest daughter has also started training with Krisha. It is becoming a family thing and I want my kids to learn so they can lead healthy lifestyles!
