SHOOTING STARS

Our Shooting Stars teams are a fun, supportive space where young dancers grow in confidence, strength, and creativity. While we love dedication and hard work, we always focus on teamwork, self-expression, and encouraging each other along the way.

Through weekly training, performances, and building friendships, our dancers build skills, resilience, and a true love for dance. Most of all, we want every kid to feel proud of themself, both on and off the stage!

Shooting Stars - Beach Retreat 2024

  • Competition Jazz Team

    Our jazz competition team is all about playful energy, style, and precision! Dancers train in dynamic choreography, sharp technique, and expressive performances.

  • Competition Hip-Hop Team

    Our hip-hop competition team is all about high-energy moves, bold style, and unstoppable confidence! Dancers train in precision, musicality, and performance skills while bringing their own personality and creativity to the stage.

  • Competition Lyrical Team

    Our lyrical competition team focuses on storytelling through movement, blending grace, emotion, and technique. Dancers train in fluid transitions, expressive performance, and strong technique to bring each routine to life.

  • Exhibition Teams

    Our exhibition dance team explores a variety of styles while helping dancers build confidence in large-scale performances. They gain valuable experience performing for big audiences without the added pressure of competition.

  • Dance Lab

    Required class for all Shooting Stars dancers (not required for Hip Hop). This class focuses on dance technique, helping students refine jumps, turns, leaps, and expressive movement. Blended with a chosen genre—usually lyrical, contemporary, or jazz—it allows dancers to apply their skills to choreography.

    7:15pm - Exhibition 2 with Micah

    TUESDAY
    6pm - Lab with Missy
    7pm - Lab with Brooke

    WEDNESDAY
    6:45pm - Lyrical with Abby
    7:45pm - Jazz with Missy

    THURSDAY
    6:30pm - Hip Hop with Abby
    6:30pm - Lab with Micah
    7:30pm - Lab with Katie/Abby

  • Important Information


    All competition teams are by audition only, held June 1st-4th 2026.

    Competition dancers must be willing to spend more time in competitions and travel throughout Oregon. Estimated days range from 6-12 hours per competition.

    Exhibition dancers can audition with or without previous performance experience.

    Dancers are required to register for at least one Dance Lab class. And may sign up for a 2nd Dance Lab if space allows. Dance Lab is not required for Hip Hop dancers.

    Dancers must uphold the Shooting Stars contract, including strict adherence to the behavior and attendance policies.

    To register, purchase our $20 non-refundable audition fee in Aspire App or call the studio to purchase.

    FOR NEW SHOOTING STARS DANCERS
    Please pay your audition fee in the Aspire app or at the studio, and fill out this form telling us about your new dancer.

    We will have a off-week during June 5-12 for commitments and placements.
